I met a man at an art fair selling a book about this story and I wanted to spread the word to my fellow Detroit sports fans on tumblr knowing full well what a huge following they have.
In this same year, Detroit also had a world record holder or champion in golf, tennis, sprinting, distance running, weight lifting, weight throwing, swimming, diving, speed boat racing, bowling, softball, fencing, billiards and even checkers.

I haven’t been on the ice in a while, Getting back out there and lacing up the skates, it’s always exciting for me. It might be a cliché, but whenever I put on the Red Wings gear, I get so much excitement and momentum.
